Secrets to Flawless Foundation

I feel like all over Instagram and Pinterest there are so many girls with flawless skin.  Obviously, photoshop has a lot to do with it but, there are things you can do to help your makeup apply flawlessly.

1: Having clear skin.  Easier said than done right? Taking good care of your skin will make the complete difference. If you are unsure how or what to use, talk with a skin care professional.  Using good product and using the right product for your skin type can make all the difference.

2: Vellus Hair.  Better known as peach fuzz.  We all have it, that little bit of soft clear or even sometimes colored hair on our cheeks.  Getting this hair waxed or sugared is very common and not something to be embarrassed about.  When this hair is removed your makeup will apply much smoother and more even.

3: Using a primer.  Primers give your foundation something to stick to.  There are many different primers out there that cater to all skin types.  Make sure when you are buying a primer you know what skin type you have.  Using the wrong primer for your skin type can make your foundation look worse.

4: Application.  When applying your foundation whether you are using a brush or a Beauty Blender make sure you are pushing the foundation into your skin, not wiping it around your face.

Starting my year off bright!

I was so excited on Christmas when I got my Anistasia BH Tamanna palette! I created this look using:
•Blush on my brow bone and inner corner.
•Custom in my crease. Blended and blown out.
•Venezia on my lid and lower lash line.
•Chocolate pressed into the outer corner of my lid. Then pressed right along my lower lashes to create a light smokey eye.
•lined with Morphe gel liner on my upper lash line and my water line
•Anastasia brow wiz for my brows
•lips are lined with NYX nude pink and I used Stila color balm lipstick in Isabelle

Skin Care Tips

There are a few little inexpensive things that you can change in your everyday life that will help your skin.  All skin types will benefit from these simple tips!

1.  Wear sunscreen!  Even though it's winter right now UV rays are still out there.  UV rays and sun damage are the #1 cause of aging skin.

2.  Exfoliate!  Or scrub the dead skin off.  When dead skin accumulates on top of the skin it can cause premature aging, acne and blackheads.  You can exfoliate by using a soft wash cloth, using AHA cleansers, receiving chemical peels or microdermabrasion, using an exfoliating brush, or using an exfoliating cleanser with microbeads.  Depending on your skin type you will exfoliate less or more.  If you have dry or sensiive skin you will only want to exfoliate once a week or less.  If you are combination or oily you can exfoliate maybe a few times a week.  If you have normal skin you will fall somewhere inbetween.  Just remember, your skin should never be tender to the touch after exfloiating.  If it is, use less force when rubbing and cut back on frequency.

3.  Get your body regular!  I know it's never fun to talk about but pooping is very important for every organ in your body.  If your body is not properly disposing of waste in the bathroom, the wast will find somewhere else to escape, your skin.  This causes acne.  Eat a diet high in fiber and you won't have to worry.  There are even supplements that help with regularity.

4.  Drink water!!!  This is the most important tip I can give!  Water is your body's fule!  Most people in the world are dehydrated.  8 glasses a day is not enough!  Especially if you drink soda, coffee, alcohol, juice or anything that isn't water.  How do you know if you are drinking enough?  Divide your body weight by 2 Drink that number in ounces.  I weigh 135 lbs.  divided by 2 is 67.5.  I need to drink 67.5 ounces of water a day.  If I drink a 16 ounce coke I will need o then drink an extra 32 ounces of water to cancel out the Coke and rehydrate my body.  Making the total amount of water intake 99.5 ounces of water.  It is a lot but it is essential to being as healthy as you can be!  And it's always ok to drink more!

I hope these 4 easy tips can make a difference in your skin and overall health!

New lippie color!

This is such a great lip color for the holidays! Change up the tone by switching liners! I couldn't find my dark purple liner so I used a mauve pink color and I like it!
